Apr 25, 2003 James Sheets and his principal, Eugene Segro, are shown in photos from the Red Lion Area Junior High School yearbook. Hours later, after the 14-year-old football player fatally shot his junior high school principal and then turned the gun on himself, fellow students would say that his sullen, silent behavior on the bus was unusual, and even scary. There must be something that draws students back to the school, as current principal Neil Schneider was also a former student and teacher. 'We would ride our bikes to school and in the mornings there was a headwind,' he said. 'In the afternoon it would rain and in spring the maggies would get you. 'You did well to get to school.'
